Durban Corbières

The village of Durban Corbières and its magnificent castle are situated deep in the Corbières on the old Route National 611, an hour from both Carcassonne and Perpignan. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and ancient hills, it’s a perfect place to while away a few weeks at any time of the year.

If you want to rent a Languedoc villa, it's the ideal location.The village of 700 inhabitants has a supermarket, boulangerie, tabac, cafe, bank, petrol station and a mix of other shops running alongside the River Berre. There’s also a doctor and pharmacie and a lovely flower shop. The village is a 5 minute walk from this lovely Languedoc holiday home.

The village has municapial tennis courts available to anyone who fancies a game of tennis. Durban is a little over 30 minutes from the pretty cathedral city of Narbonne. The beach at Le Franqui is about half an hour away and many of the the famous Cathar Castles are easiliy visited using Durban as a base.

Of course when you venture down to the village for your croissants or maybe a beer, pastis or a cafe, you'll discover that there is always something going on.

On the other hand - maybe you'd prefer to stay in the garden with a book, your iPod or just lie there gazing out over the Languedoc countryside!
